Following an accepted proposal at the G&F AGM in December 2025, a single G&F Common Dress Code is now introduced from the start of the 2026 season, applicable to all the G&F match/event types (League, Cup, President’s Days, Singles Competitions). It supersedes all other previous G&F Dress Code rules, and has been incorporated into the Rules of the G&F League, and each of the other G&F event/match types.

This G&F Common Dress Code adopts the Bowls England (BE) Club Clothing Guidance. Please refer to the linked document for details of both the G&F Dress Code and the BE Guidance document, including background/rationale.

As a consequence, G&F will no longer designate any ‘whites’ or ‘greys’ dress code for any of its match/event types. Instead, each Club is now responsible for ensuring that their own teams’ attire (particularly ‘below-the-waist’ attire colour/design) on each occasion is matching and compliant with the G&F common dress code.
