If you consider an article or other content to be misrepresentative, incorrect, distasteful or offensive please contact the League Secretary, explaining your view.

Reproduction and Copyright

Opening/Reading documents

Most documents on this website which have to be clicked/tapped to open are published as PDFs (the universal Portable Document Format developed by Adobe Corp, and subsequently released as an open standard).

If your computer/device does not have an application currently installed that is capable of displaying PDF documents, the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application is available and free to download and use:

  • for Windows PCs by downloading free direct from Adobe's UK website.
    • there is no need to download/acquire any chargeable program.
  • for Mac users a Mac-OSX version is similarly available from this same linked page, but Mac users may wish to continue to use the pre-installed 'Preview' application as their preferred PDF reader.
  • for smartphones/iPads/tablets, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is available as a free app downloadable from the Apple Store or the GooglePlay for Android Store.
    • in these online stores, there are other similarly-named apps which may cause confusion to the inexperienced user, so care is needed to select the correct app, which should have the Adobe Acrobat logo (visible in the above-linked Adobe website page); it is not necessary to download any chargeable app.
